Meet the team
Robert Norton, CEO and Co-Founder
Robert is an entrepreneur with a passion for art and technology. Before establishing Verisart, he was the co-founder and CEO of Saatchi Art and Sedition Art. Previously he worked on the executive management team at King.com and AOL Europe. Robert graduated from Oxford University with a Masters in Modern History. He collects documentary photographs from the 1940s to 1980s and his most treasured possessions are Asmat drums from West Papua. Learn more about Robert’s career here.
Shelley Mannion, CPO
Shelley loves building products with teams. She has over 20 years experience in software engineering and product management. At the British Museum, she pioneered the use of Augmented Reality in digital learning and built the Museum's first digital product team to deliver its flagship mobile guide. She holds an MSc in Communications from the University of Lugano and a BA in Art History. She collects post-its in all colors, shapes and sizes.
John Wood, CTO
John has worked at companies such Hewlett Packard and Aistemos, which provides strategic patent intelligence. He has extensive experience in startups, including roles as co-founder and principal engineer. John has worked with cloud and distributed systems, machine learning and cryptographic systems. He studied Computer Science at the University of Bristol. John treasures creativity by enjoying the weird and wonderful artists on Twitter such as Simon Stålenhag.
Marcus Ramsden, VP Engineering
Marcus has managed teams in e-commerce and built apps that integrate with large existing platforms. He has previously worked at Smile Machine and Accenture. Marcus is an experienced mobile developer and has worked across several industries. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Southampton. He treasures creativity by wandering around towns and cities exploring their street art and unique architecture.
Vlad Nistor, Product Engineer
Vlad’s passion is full stack development - from microservices to solidity contracts. In his spare time, he enjoys losing ELO in games such as League and CSGO. He previously worked for Citibank and graduated with a MEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London.
Vinciane Jones, Head of Community
Vinciane is passionate about art and advocating for artists. She previously worked as Head of Communications at Artsper, an e-commerce platform for art. Vinciane holds a BA in History of Art from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Arts and Heritage from the University of Maastricht. She treasures creativity by buying from artists and creatives and spending weekends exploring museums and galleries.
Dardan Gashi, Product Engineer
Dardan is passionate about the Web3 space and is always reading and learning about the newest innovations. He holds a BSC in computer science from City University of London. In his spare time he likes to collect and trade NFTs to add to his collection.
Bradford Schlei, Artist Relations and Co-Founder
Bradford Schlei is an acclaimed filmmaker and financier who previously served as partner and Head of Production of Muse Productions - creators of such critically acclaimed films as: American Psycho and Virgin Suicides. Bradford is a well known contemporary art collector in Los Angeles who attended Bennington College and Yale Law School. He is an avid collector of vinyl and stereo equipment.
