"Lagune de Grado, île bateau flottante, coucher du soleil..." continues the Water paintings series, predominantly executed in 2019. Although smaller in scale compared to other works in the series, this piece encapsulates significant dramatic power and monumentality, evoking romantic landscapes reminiscent of The Raft of the Medusa by Théodore Géricault. As such, it transforms the idyllic sunset vista of its initial tourist destination, reshaping the semi-island into an abandoned boat adrift on a deserted sea.

The author's continuous fascination with the sea reveals her endless love for nature's eternity, as well as the absence of human figures.
