About the artwork:
Mingled with Voids is an erratic and instinctive exploration of mystery, randomness, and existence that draws inspiration from the primal gestures of ancient cave artists.
Long ago, early humans undertook a formidable journey into the depths of the Earth, as they confronted the emergence of consciousness and the mysteries of life. Armed only with a flickering torch they spent days in near darkness in a trance-like state, depicting enigmatic images on cave walls.
Similarly to these ancient rituals, Mingled with Voids emerges from the darkness as a collection of mysterious and hypnotic visuals. The images are trembling reflections generated using only a simple flashlight and mirror. The photo shoots resemble a performative act due to their extended duration and the temporary nature of the reflections. The consciousness blurs, and the senses dazzle. It’s a glimpse of a plane beyond conscious perception, an arcane dimension, released from the structured confines of rationality.
