"525,600", Rebecca Rose, Unique NFT Hologram, Edition 1 of 1, 2021, VI.
Sing out, give out, measure your life.
As an LGBTQIA+ ally since 1991, this work honors Pride month, a poet before his time, and those in my life touched by HIV. It was minted on the 5th Anniversary of the Pulse Orlando nightclub tragedy, of which I was a first responder.
The NFT is derived from the artist's original painting on a vinyl record, animated, reversed, and digitally reworked in a holographic video format to lift the NFT off the viewer's screen and enter the viewer's physical space when paired with a holographic prism pyramid. This work is signed, dated, and numbered by the artist at the end of the presentation. Provenance is embedded on the Ethereum blockchain and is accompanied with certification through Verisart.
Gallery Exhibition: In June of 2021, The Blockchain Center of NYC hosted their first NFT exhibition, "XO Crypto" celebrating Pride weekend throughout the city where "525,600" was exhibited. The "XO Crypto" exhibition then moved to the CryptoVoxels Metaverse where the work was displayed at Zardoz Gallery for 5 weeks.
Gallery Exhibition: In July of 2021, "525,600" was included in the "Stratosphere" exhibition in partnership with Stratosphere DAO and Neal Digital Gallery out of Beijing, China during NFT Art Week. In addition to the physical exhibition, the "Stratosphere" show entered the Spatial Metaverse where the work was displayed at the virtual Neal Digital Gallery, which is proposed to be up for a full year.
