Censored Sensor is a short version of a 2 minutes long looping art video with sound. This video shows close-ups of an urchin's spines that Iri shot through a microscope at the Bio Lab of the School of Visual Arts in New York. Not visible through the naked eyes, the sensuality of the spines look surprisingly like sexual organs. At a certain point, the extremities of the spines become pixelized and a censoring sound is triggered. The work question our relation to senses through screens and the absurdity of media censorship policies in that realm. The video was exhibited at the SVA summer residency open studios 2018 and 2019 as part of a two-screens installation
