Description

Two jewel-toned riders against a dep purple backdrop showcases Carrie Fells bold use of color, scale and composition to convey energy.

Developed using the traditional method of serigraphy (also known as silk screening) - which refers to an image printed using ink and stencils - "Ruby Tuesday" is an early piece by Carrie experimenting with different media. Artists make serigraphs by placing a stencil on the medium and then applying ink to the areas not covered by the stencil, with greater detail requiring more and more screens and ink to replicate the original art.
