Black Hole 1 was created by Christopher P. Sloan as part of series of works that explored human-computer interaction using generative software. In this case, the artist used a combination of fractal-generating and digital image manipulation software to create the image. The artist considers this print on aluminum to be an original work of art. There is only one print and there will be no more. It is signed and dated in sliver ink in the lower right hand corner. This artwork was first presented to the public in 2022 for solo exhibition called "Our Mathematical Universe" at the Graphicus Atelier gallery in Cumberland, Maryland.
