This male divinity torso presents a beautiful example of the Baphuon style of clothing, with its finely folded cloth raised high on the hips and draped below the belly-button. The belt is tied low at the waist and the knot folded into stylized flowers. The back is equally tied into a butterfly knot.
Sensuous and gracious, the finely muscular torso is sculptured with great sensitivity. The arched bust seems to emerge from the “floral corolla”, from the pleated loincloth, girdling the hips, the waist, and the upper thighs.
