The Fairydust series comes from my interest in comparing butterflies with life itself, both fragile, beautiful and ephemeral.
This piece lessens some of the sentimental value in the series by reintroducing money. I use collage to make butterflies out of the dollar bills glued to the goldleaf, now showing economic value as frail and evanescent.
