Flow is an artwork created by Samu Carvajal in early 2021. It explores automatic expressions and information overload as a source of creativity.

The term “Flow” comes from the creativity research work developed by Hungarian-American psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. Who defines it as an “optimal state, where the person is fully immersed in what they are doing”.

By removing himself from any conscious thought (by making use of the psychic automatism techniques of Andre Breton) the artist arrives at a state of raw mental fragmentation that links Art Brut with his experiences in Advertising.
