Here is my acrylic paint on canvas created to resemble marble or cut stone. I created a pattern that came as close to what the inside of a sliced marble or textured granite would look like. Something we see on our table-top kitchen islands quite often. Or maybe your own creative eye sees something else entirely. Art can really be whatever you want it to be, even a "Hard Rock".
I loved using color blending techniques to create this "geode-like" painting. I used a mixture of heavy acrylics on heavy weight 14" (inch) canvas, then I coated my painting with liquid clear high gloss acrylic varnish as a topcoat to give it a super high gloss shine and protection to my art. My original artwork is archival and created with acid-free materials to retain its quality and to ensure my artwork's longevity. Please enjoy! - Karlana
