Kaati Recurve Sword
Description

Kaati Recurve Sword Overall length 68cm Blade length 56cm Date: Early / Mid 19th Century Origin: India An unusual short Kaati recurve sword. Excellent condition. The 'pistol grip' retains much of its original silver work. The spine of the wootz blade is thick, and the edge is pristine and sharp. A true fighting piece with excellent balance; typically such a sword is used with the higher Sanatan Shastar Vidiya fighting forms. It can be wielded both in the right hand, or left (when fighting with weapon combinations) and is highly dexterous.
