Statement: The Photoshop software functionalities are used as the process described in the title to produce an abstract painting. Photoshop application has changed both the paradigm of photography and painting. This series is questioning the process of creating a digital image and reach the degree 0 of paintings through a new process of minimalism. On the other hand, you may also perceive them as a wink to Frank Stella, through another paradigm and process ;-) AsI am exploring our perception of the artistic roles, played out by historical and contemporary artists and their works. Located somewhere between a painting, a print, a digital image and screen, I create works that strive to transcend what painting is and can become. Valéry Grancher 2016-2018
