Çiğdem Aky describes her artistic approach in two sentences: "I apply color - and react to it". In her painting she is interested in the interplay of colors and geometric shapes. Her self-constructed form of colors consists of two elements: a clear, geometric element in the center and the gesture, the movement with which she executes a brush stroke. One can call it painterly research.
